I Know, I Don't Know

Whenever I am assessing a new situation, I find it helpfull to take stock of what I do and do not know about it. This may sound simple and to a certain degree obvious, but sometimes this simple step gets overlooked.

What I know about the trip:
- People are worried about me so I will try to let them know I am alright.
- I have the tendency to get tunnel vision and pass up opportunities. I will try to avoid this.
- I am aware of the weight of the situation. If you feel the need to point it out, you may. Just keep in mind that I already know.
- I want the trip to last as long as it can before I am ready to stop, not until my budget tells me to stop.
- I want to have a journey that dad would be proud of, and give him some stories to tell to boot.
- I want to keep you all coming back to read about it.

What I don't know about the trip:
- Where exactly I will go
- Where I will stay
- What I will do
- Who I will meet
- If I am looking for anything
- If I will recognize it if I stumble upon it.

Simple really, don't you think?
