February 3 - 7, 2005; San Diego, California
The majority of Thursday was spent getting lost in San Diego while trying to get a cell phone replacement. Once Sara was off work she took me surfing. To be more accurate, she took me to try to surf. More on this as soon as I actually get some pictures.
Friday Sara took the day off and we went out to Cabrillo National Monument and Point Loma overlooking San Diego Bay. From the point you can see planes arriving and departing from the airport, military air and watercraft, downtown San Diego, Mountains in the US and Mexico, and whales in the Pacific if you have binoculars.
After a little tour of San Diego, and another attempt at surfing we cleaned up and legged it to a Pacific Beach bar called Bub’s. Sara, friends, and I had some beers. Okay, a lot of beers, and a good time, but not the customary post-bar Mexican food. That was remedied after the bars on Saturday night.
Sunday was the super bowl party. The real story for me was the guac. There must have been a gallon and a half from different sources. Needless to say, I got my guac on.
Monday was miscellaneous errands. On Tuesday Sara's job got in the way of us having fun, so I skipped down to Coronado Island to stay with Dean, Betty, Bill, and Ronna.
Condensing these five days down into one page made me even more aware of what I had already known, that The Story is in the Telling
