January 30, 2005; El Paso

Domingo en El Paso a la casa de Tom y Barb. Being in Texas for too long will just make you want to speak Spanish. Anyway, Sunday was just a lazy day. After a late brunch Risë and Merriam chauffeured me around the two scenic mountain roads in El Paso. Upon retuning, I was antisocial for a couple of hours while the site was updated.

Due to my procrastination, I only got a picture of Tom and Barb together. They are both nurses serving our country. Barb has stayed in the states and Tom has seen everything from Sarajevo to Baghdad. I could not even imagine being in the situations that he briefly described. You can debate all you want about the reasons the US is in the Middle East. However, it's hard to question the dedication and spirit of nearly every soldier who is over there. They are putting their lives on the line everyday for us.
